I’ve always been a big fan of Miss Kelly Rowland. The slim, brown- skinned songstress is becoming one of the red-carpet’s “one to watch”. The Grammy winner’s fashion is fabulous, her big hair is the trending hairstyle of the moment which flatters her oval facial structure and her makeup keeps getting better! Want Miss Kelly’s killer, coral inspired makeup look? I’ve got the checklist here:
1. Liquid foundation
2. Peach concealer
3. Cream blush in coral
4. Chicory based lip liner
5. Neutral lip stick or lip gloss
6. Glimmering gold and bronze eye shadows
7. Deep black mascara
8. Powder and eye shadow brush
9. Good lighting
10. A fabulous destination to work this hot spring look!!!
It’s that time of year when we all lose our skin’s sunny disposition we’ve been bundled up in wool and cashmere and all of the sun worshipers are desperately missing the sun! Want the secret to getting back the glow? If your winter vacation is more like a “stay-cation” here’s how to fake your skin’s sunny complexion. Boost your skin’s radiance and add a bit of bronzer to your makeup routine.
Apply a moisturizer and liquid or cream foundation to your skin. Use a tissue to gently blot down any excess shine on your forehead, nose and chin. With a fluffy powder brush apply add a shimmering powder bronzer to your cheeks, temples and the corners of the forehead and hairline. To enhance the bronzed look, apply a bronzer to the hollows of the cheek for a soft, sun-kissed appearance.
What’s your favorite bronzing technique?

Adele is undoubtably the real deal! When I see her I am inspired. It is her time, in a world of auto-tuned music, sensationalized vulgarity on stage and barley there wardrobe – talent finally prevails. The 8 time Grammy winner has talent beyond compare. I am calling Adele the “Queen of Pop-Soul Music, ” she is sure to go down in history as one of the greatest voices of all time. I love Adele’s strength, confidence and above all that she is a real woman, she is the real deal. Adele leads with her talent and unshakable assertiveness. Her buxom body represents that majority of women around the world. If women around the world were to take notes from this songbird’s solid confidence, the world would be a better place (we’d most certainly lose the haters)!
If you are every lucky enough to make it to Italy and the to Florence you must see the original painting of Bottecelli’s “Birth of Venus” painted in 1486. The painting is magical, beautiful and breathtaking. Bottecelli was inspired by a shapely, strawberry blonde and so am I !
Adele takes her beauty to an new level making her second appearance on the coveted Vogue cover. Adele’s first made history as the UK’s first plus-sized Vogue cover girl in October 2011. In March 2012, Adele continues to make history as she graces spring’s version of the “September Issue.”
I have always had great admiration for unconventional beauty, aging gracefully, and the confidence to be daring enough to be who you are. Adele encompasses these characteristics and I admire her all the more. I have a sneaking suspicion that the March 2012 Vogue cover will be on of the best selling covers in modern history!
” I like having my hair and face done, but I’m not going to lose weight because someone tells me to. I make music to be a musician not to be on the cover of Playboy.”

Oh yes, and of course the PR teams, stage managers, event planners and set designers where would we without all of the pieces who play a part in this fabulous fashion puzzle? Besides the fantasy of fashion’s what’s to come it the who’s, who in the fashion show’s front row that catches our eye.
Who is your favorite Fashion Week front row guest?
Posted in Fashion, Other | Tagged #NYFW, Celebs, Front Row, New York Fashion Week | Leave a commentThere was a somber start to the 53rd annual Grammy Awards yet the artist community came together harmoniously. The night began with a prayer by host LL Cool J and ended with a legendary performance by Sir Paul McCartney. Jennifer Hudson received a standing ovation for powerhouse memorandum tribute to Whitney Houston and the respected members of the music community. The happy centerpiece was Adele, pop-soul songstress’ 6 award sweep.
In my book Adele and Jennifer Hudson are tied for “performance of the night.” More than the boisterous and superlative voices that the songbirds share, it’s the hair that was rocking my world! Adele has always worn massive 1960′s inspired bouffants paired with headbands and side ponytails inspired by glamazons like Bridgete Bardot or Julie Christie. Jennifer Hudson’s glam team also took a page from the Bardot handbook and mashed-up a modern spin inspired by of the 1980′s excessive glamour.
“After all these years, it still looks amazing when it’s done right. I love this style.” says world renowned hairstylist Sally Hershberger. “Its timelessness has to do with its sexiness. People always want to look sexy, and this style is all about a sexy, glamorous look,” says Hershberger, adding “Who doesn’t want full, voluptuous hair? That’s why the style still works.”
These talented ladies had the most amazing performances (and hairstyles) of the night. They will go down in music history as the Grammy’s best performances. Not only do I see more amazing music in these ladies futures but I see big sexy, fabulous and excessively alluring hair in all of our futures!

What more do Adele and JHUD have in common? They were some of the the first plus-sized women to grace the covers of Vogue !!
Whitney Houston is a legend and an icon, both talented and beautiful and will always be a star. Whitney Houston’s voice was a gift both magical and powerful. In the late 1980′s she became the picture of elegance, grace and sophistication. From her iconic album covers, music videos and even her stage performances Whitney Houston could keep a crowd mesmerized. Houston’s list of awards include 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards, among a total of 415 awards in her career. Houston was one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums and singles worldwide. She also holds the title of best selling single of all time for her best selling song “I Will Always Love You.”
I remember the talented Whitney Houston, her beauty, her style and most of all her talent. She was the real deal, no auto-tune no back-up tracks just Whitney and the stage!
“God gave me a voice to sing with, and when you have that, what other gimmick is there?” – Whitney Houston
Viola Davis has been lighting up the silver screen for 23 years, this actress is talented and it is her time to shine. The 46 year old actress has been basking in the glory of success and critical acclaim after winning the SAG and Golden Globe for her role in the 2011′s the Help where she plays a quiet, yet rebellious maid at the peak of the Civil Rights movement.
Viola Davis has become the picture of Hollywood glam, her fashion and beauty game are constantly evolving but it is the LA Times cover that is really turning heads. Viola is all beautiful and all natural for the striking LA Times editorial photographed by Ruven Afanador. On the cover, Davis sits confidently gazing up in a lace Marchesa dress with flower detailing. The Oscar nominated actress also gets glam in chic creations by Thierry Mugler, Jason Wu, Costume National and Giuseppe Zanotti. She strikes “supermodel-esque” poses.
Viola’s rich cocoa skin is beautifully highlighted by the lighting her eyes are rimmed and heavily lined with charcoal, black and neutral eye shadows. Her eyes tell the story of drama and optimism, cloaked with heavy false eyelashes and heavy mascara. Lips are deep, dark and shiny – only a tint which a passionate actress can successfully pull off.
My absolute favorite part of this very edgy, modern glam photo shoot is Viola’s natural hair. It’s short, is shows off her magnificent, deep, dark complexion and makes her look more youthful and chic than ever.
BRAVO VIOLA, BRAVO! Wishing you the best of luck this award season!

These power couples send the media into a frenzy each time they hit the scene. Whether they’ve been caught showing a little PDA, walking red carpets, at concerts or sporting events we go wild over celebrity couples. I live vicariously through the lavish vacations taken by the twosomes – but what is our obsession with these dynamic duos?
