FRESH CITRUS

The weekend is here and after 40 long hours of work it’s time for 48 hours of non-stop fun! If you’re like me, the fun begins in front of the bathroom mirror. This weekend I am going for a fun and fresh face with pops of citrus colors to brighten my sun-kissed, summery skin!

Want flawless skin? Use an SPF moisturizer to protect your skin. A layer of moisture will allow foundation and concealer to glide onto the skin. Apply pea-sized drop foundation to the skin with a moistened sponge, in a stippling motion. Blend through the inner eye and through the forehead, cheek, chin and neck. Add concealer under the eye, along the nose around the mouth and lips and over any skin that requires additional coverage.

To set your foundation, use a loose translucent or bronzed powders. Applying a translucent, loose powder with a fluffy powder brush gives a soft and natural finish to a gently applied foundation.

Punch up your cheeks and lips with the citrus based tones like orange, peach-passion fruit, or mango. Adding an orange tones to the skin brings out natural healthy undertones livening your skin’s appearance. Use a short haired, blush brush to build cream blush onto the apples of the cheeks for a luminous look and feel.

Stick with minimalist eyes to complete this fresh summer look. Start with shimmering pale tones for fair skin and subtle coppers and bronze tones if you’ve got a deeper complexion. Want a perfectly lined eye? Use and angled brush to apply a thin eye liner along the upper lash line to create subtle definition. Begin at the inner corner, dragging the angled brush towards your outer eye. Sweep mascara onto the upper and lower lashes, add a some flirt to your eyes with individual lashes!
