1. First Job?
Men's formalwear store. I made alterations for the wedding and prom tuxedos. It would have been a great place to meet guys, but I was 16!
2. What was the defining moment that prompted you to launch your business?
I am an independent thinker. This is often a blessing and a curse. I often found a faster or more streamlined matter of completing a task, sometime that was appreciated and other times it was not. That is when I though, I should go into business for myself!
3. How long did it take you to launch your brand?
Wow! Launching my brand was not as lengthy a process as one would think. I was quite focused, I had the idea and went straight to work. It took close to 9 months. Each step was a learning experience, I still have some of the notes.
4. What is the greatest lesson from your first year in business?
You are the best advocate for your brand - don't be afraid to get out there an pitch it to everyone you encounter.
5. What is your best piece of advice for your fellow Female Founder?
It's hard - but don't give up!
